Another highlight of the 2008 General Assembly in Helsinki was a reminder from Ursula Weber Hejtmanek, Eva Bertalan and Marko Ilijic about the importance of IFS members opening our doors to our colleagues around the world. They presented the idea of creating the Very Important Neighbours (V.I.N.) Project and are looking for interested members to participate in the planning.
The basic idea of V.I.N is to enable travelling professionals and voluntary staff of IFS organization to be treated by a host member as a V.I.P. A membership card will entitle the visitor to receive information about the place they are visiting, tour the local IFS member organization and participate in special events begin held by that local organization.
